Self-Employment in Beauty Therapy: Is It the Right Career Choice?
The freedom, the earning potential and the real responsibilities of going self-employed as a beauty therapist, and how to decide if it is for you.
The Global Standard is the advanced therapist mastery programme: a six month, live, tutor led journey for beauty and wellness therapists who want to be truly in demand.
Founder & Lead Mentor
Most beauty qualifications teach the treatment and stop there. The consultation that wins trust, the science beneath every skin, the psychology of why clients buy and stay, the pricing and standards that build a real income: that education is rarely taught anywhere. The Global Standard was created to be that missing education, in one structured journey.
The Global Standard is founded and led by Cilla Javorszki, a fully qualified beauty therapist, massage expert and holistic wellness practitioner with more than 25 years in practice. Her career spans salons, gyms, photo studios and television sets, and she holds NVQ Beauty Therapy Levels 2 to 4 alongside a portfolio of specialisms across massage, skincare and advanced treatments. She took 2nd place in the National Massage Competition in Antalya, Turkey.
Her studio, Intuitive Studio, has earned more than two hundred five star reviews from real clients, and that same standard of care now shapes how every module is taught. Alongside the founder, specialist tutors are joining the faculty so each pillar is taught by an expert who lives and breathes it.
The programme is fully online and live, tutor led, delivered in small cohorts over six months. The curriculum is built on five pillars of mastery: science, client psychology, communication, business, and professional excellence. No prior qualification is required to begin; the door is open to anyone serious about a premium career.
