Who we are
This website, theglobalstandardacademy.com, is operated by The Global Standard Academy ("we", "us"). We are the data controller for the personal data collected through this site. To contact us about anything in this policy, email us.
What we collect
We collect personal data in two ways:
- Waitlist and contact forms. When you register your interest we ask for your name, your email address and, optionally, where you are in your career. Providing this information is your choice.
- Technical data. Like almost every website, our server records standard technical logs (such as IP address, browser type and the pages requested) to keep the site secure and running reliably.
Cookies
We use essential cookies only: a security cookie that protects forms against forgery, and a sign-in cookie for our own staff area. We do not use analytics, advertising or tracking cookies.
How we use your data
- To email you about the programme you registered interest in, including start dates and enrolment details. The lawful basis is your consent, given when you submit the form.
- To operate, secure and improve the website. The lawful basis is our legitimate interest in running the service safely.
We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use it for third party advertising.
Who we share it with
Only the service providers needed to run this website, such as our hosting provider and, where configured, our email delivery provider. They process data on our instructions and are not permitted to use it for their own purposes.
How long we keep it
Waitlist details are kept while the programme is being launched and for as long as you remain interested. If you ask to be removed, we delete your details. Technical logs are kept for a short period for security purposes.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, to restrict or object to our use of it, and to receive a copy in a portable format. You can also withdraw consent at any time. To exercise any of these rights, email us.
If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle personal data, we will update this page and revise the date at the top.
